Our Journey So Far
GamerHash began humbly in November 2017, when two friends set out to democratize cryptocurrency mining by enabling anyone to earn using idle computing power. Our first product was the GamerHash Miner App, designed to make crypto mining as simple as running software in the background. In just a few months, the idea resonated — 150,000 users had joined by March 2018, and the community quickly grew to ~300,000 by August.
From the very beginning, our goal was bigger than mining. We envisioned a distributed supercomputer built from thousands of home PCs. Mining was simply the low-hanging fruit that allowed users to start earning instantly. The launch of our native token, GamerCoin (GHX), in 2019–2020 created the foundation for a growing ecosystem.
Over time, the focus has shifted. With the rise of open-source AI models, we saw a new opportunity: instead of only mining crypto, users could run AI workloads locally on their own GPUs. This marked the transition to the GamerHash AI App — giving people not just passive income, but also access to AI tools like image and video generation, fully private and available 24/7.
Today, with nearly 800,000 registered users, GamerHash is evolving into a global platform that blends GPU sharing and AI services — all driven by the vision of turning home PCs into a decentralized supercomputer Powering AI.
