# Discover GHX token
> A distributed GPU network since 2017 — consumer hardware powering AI, and the token that runs on it.

GHX is the native utility token of [GamerHash](https://gamerhash.com) — a network that has been turning idle consumer GPUs into useful compute since **2017**, years before anyone called it DePIN. The token isn't an abstract claim on a future product: it is what the platform's 820,000+ users earn with, spend, stake, and level up with.

## How the GHX economy works
Users contribute idle GPU power. The network aggregates it and routes it to AI workloads. Contributors are paid for the compute they supply, and can take those earnings in GHX whenever they choose. Holding GHX raises your account level in the GamerHash AI App, which makes activity points (GHXP) accrue faster — and those points turn into GHX through monthly seasons, so the token pays back into the same loop it came from. Staking and liquidity programs lock supply on top.
